Paytech company Worldline has partnered with SaaS website building platform Wix to empower small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) by providing them with a platform to establish their online presence.
The partnership will offer Wix users access to Worldline’s local banking and payment solutions.
This will enable transaction processing taking into account customers’ preferred payment methods, including credit, digital wallet or local card schemes.
Through the partnership, Worldline’s SME customers will gain access to the Wix platform, which offers a suite of tools to create and manage an online store.
These tools cover product catalog management, order fulfillment, inventory and invoice management, marketing resources, and reservation management.
The collaboration marks the first phase of an initiative that will be implemented in several countries in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Wix Global Sales and Partnerships Anthony Scaglione stated: “This partnership combines Wix’s advanced e-commerce capabilities with Worldline’s renowned payment processing services and local distribution networks.
“Merchants will be able to create the online store they imagine with the features they want, while accepting local card schemes and payment solutions, benefiting from competitive transaction fees and ultimately increasing GPV and potential of income”.
Marija Nakevska, Product Director of Business Services at Worldline, said: “Wix’s all-in-one approach to e-commerce across all SME industries was exactly what we were looking for in a partner.
“Now, with the addition of Worldline’s advanced, localized online payment and acceptance solutions, businesses can further optimize their payment processes and better serve their customers who support national card schemes around the world, creating a smoother experience for merchants and their customers.”
Recently, Worldline expanded its partnership with KBC/CBC to continue providing transaction processing and issuing services in Belgium.
“Worldline Partners with Wix to Improve the Online Experience for SMBs” was originally created and published by Electronic Payments International, a brand owned by GlobalData.
