The second season of LIV Golf began on Friday, February 24 at El Camaleón Golf Course in Mayakoba, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The tournament is back with 48-star golfers competing in team matches and individual events.

Each of the regular tournaments at LIV Golf Mayakoba will feature a $25 million purse, with $4 million going to the individual event winner and $3 million shared among the members of the winning team.

The first round of the tournament concluded successfully on Friday, February 24 with Paul Casey sharing the lead with Jason Kokrak.

LIV Golf published the leaderboard for the opening round on its official social media page.

Fans took to the comments section to react to the rankings after Round 1:

The final round of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday, February 26. It is important to note that the next two rounds of the LIV Golf will be televised on the CW Network.


2023 LIV Golf Mayakoba Classification

The opening round of LIV Golf is headlined by Paul Casey alongside Jason Kokrak. The golfers finished the first round at 65 to finish bottom 6 on the leaderboard. Peter Uihlein secured the third position along with Carlos Ortiz and Talor Gooch.

English golfer Ian Poulter finished tied at five with Charles Howell II, Marc Leishman, Dustin Johnson and Braden Grace.

The new members of LIV Golf could not outshine last year’s players in their debut match. Danny Lee finished in T18, Brendan Steele in T23, and Thomas Pieters secured the T43 position. Sebastián Muñoz and Mito Pereira finished tied at eight in 23rd position.
