When it comes to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan attending the coronation in May, the ball is in Charles’ court.
king charles hard wants them there, the report says. Some even claim that he is ready to pay bribes to smooth things over.
But you need one little thing to attend a celebration, especially one as silly and fanciful-sounding as a coronation: an invitation.
And apparently Charles has yet to officially invite either Harry or Meghan. Strange,
Just about everyone has reported that King Charles is totally planning on inviting Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan to his coronation.
Palace insiders reveal People same thing. But there’s a slight hiccup.
A source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex says they haven’t actually received an invitation yet.
Also no one has invited Too The olive branch is no more.
A source close to the Sussex couple says there has been no apparent movement towards a reconciliation.
The way Harry treated many of his family, and the way he threw his wife under the proverbial bus, is no secret.
Can they amend the coronation time in the next three months?
Obviously, we don’t know. They can only try. At the very least, they can start the process of healing, if that’s what everyone involved wants.
But they can’t really start until someone makes the first move. One would think those family members are still with the royal firm, and thus the wrong party, would make the first offer.
Remember, Harry has acknowledged the stress – and the coronation – before.
“A lot can happen between now and then,” the prince said in an interview last month.
“But, you know, the door’s always open,” he remarked. “The ball is in their court.”
“There’s a lot to discuss,” Prince Harry admitted.
“And,” he expressed, “I really hope they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.”
Is he likely to receive forgiveness from those relatives who have done him such a grave injustice? impossible.
“the problem is that [Harry and Meghan] Want a surrender and apology from Rajmahal,” a source commented on that.
“But,” the insider continued, “when ‘memories change,’ it’s hard enough.”
In other words, you know when you have that relative who can never seem to remember doing anything wrong? Well, imagine a whole bunch of them.
Apparently, Charles either hopes or thinks the situation will “calm down” in time for his eldest son’s coronation in the coming months.
A source said, “It’s such an important occasion for Charles, and he wants his son to see it at the coronation.”
“He would like to bring Harry back into the family,” the insider went on. “If they don’t sort it out, it will always be part of King’s rule and how he has let his family down.”
The source admitted: “He has had a reputation as a distant parent, and it would be terrible for him to continue.”
Meanwhile, royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith commented: “The monarchy is bigger than a family argument.”
So anyone hoping this conflict will bring this antiquated institution crashing down may be somewhat disappointed. If only.
