Chael Sonnen lectured Daniel Cormier about not interrupting him during his podcast.
After their fighting careers, Sonnen and Cormier took similar paths in creating MMA content on social media. The legendary former UFC fighters have their respective YouTube channels and also work together on an ESPN show called good boy/bad boy.
Sonnen and Cormier recently released a video with their MMA predictions for 2025. Sonnen ended the episode by demanding Cormier stop interrupting him:
“Well, I’ve been a very good teammate and definitely a very good friend this year. Do I have any favors in store? Could I have a favor from you when we go into this break? I want you to do a real favor.” Dig deeper, but I want you to dig deeper into a word called disruption. I want you to really learn what it’s like to interrupt, and then I want you to try to come back with a commitment to do it a little less next. year.”

Sonnen went on to say:
“When my mouth moves, yours is closed. That’s how it works. The bad boy and the other. If you like being the other, listen a little more than you talk.”

Chael Sonnen reveals Hulk Hogan’s humility while cornering Colby Covington
On December 14, 2024, the last UFC event of the year took place in Tampa, Florida. In the main event, Joaquin Buckley boosted his status as a welterweight contender with a third-round TKO (medical stoppage) against Colby Covington.
One of the most important takeaways from the matchup was Covington’s departure. The former UFC interim champion went out with Hulk Hogan and Chael Sonnen, generating a lot of attention from fans.
During an episode of good boy/bad boySonnen revealed Hogan’s humility backstage before the strike:
“It was kind of cool, it was Hulk Hogan… The first thing Colby says to him, ‘When the camera pans, Hulk, I wanted you with the American flag… I’m coming out after you.’ And Hulk cut it off. He left and hit him. He said, ‘Colby, too far. I’m a guest in your house. You go first, I’m behind you… I won’t have it any other way.’ And that was his attitude from the beginning and he was more than welcome in that one. locker room”.
Colby Covington’s loss against Joaquin Buckley was his only fight in 2023. The 36-year-old plans to bounce back in 2025 and potentially secure his first UFC win since defeating Jorge Masvidal via unanimous decision in March 2022.
