As you may have heard by now, Justin Timberlake is probably crying a lot right now.
The veteran singer was arrested for driving under the influence in Sag Harbor, New York this week … and his photo has gone viral.

While fans and critics are reflecting on this unfortunate incident, new details have emerged regarding Timberlake’s arrest.
According to official court documents, Timberlake was driving a gray BMW with Florida license plates when he was stopped at approximately 12:17 a.m. on June 18; he is accused of driving through a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road.
He was coming from the American Hotel — and surveillance video obtained by Hamptons.com shows the 43-year-old walking slowly down a deserted street before he was stopped.
Sag Harbor Village Officer Michael Arkinson wrote in his complaint that while speaking to the iconic artist, officers observed that his eyes were “red and glassy,” and “his breath smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage.”
Arkinson also wrote that Timberlake’s “speech was slurred” and that he was “unable to shift attention” during conversation.
After the Grammy winner “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” Arkinson said the singer refused to be tested for impairment, and allegedly told police:
“No, I am not doing any chemical tests.”
It is also known as breath analyzer.
According to Arkinson, Timberlake refused to be tested two more times, after which he was read his Miranda rights and arrested.
“This determination was made based on the signaller’s training and experience in conducting intoxication detection and field sobriety tests and his involvement in numerous DWI cases,” the officer wrote in the documents, adding that Timberlake also allegedly told him during the traffic stop:
“I drank a martini and followed my friends home.”
For the record, his wife Jessica Biel — who may have moved on from Timberlake — was not with her husband at the time.
“Mr. Timberlake was arrested, processed, and held overnight pending a morning hearing. Mr. Timberlake appeared in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. where he was released on his own recognizance,” said a statement released this week by the Sag Harbor Police Department.
Timberlake was charged with one count of driving under the influence and two citations, one for violating a stop sign and another for failing to stay in the lane.
He is scheduled to perform concerts in Chicago on June 21st and 22nd… and is due back in court for a hearing on July 26th.
