Wendy Williams’ health battle has taken a turn for the worse.

Nine months after we learned that the former talk show host was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia — a condition that affects the star’s communication abilities and cognitive functions — a new legal filing confirms that His health continues to decline.

In a significant manner.

According to legal filings obtained by TMZ and other celebrity gossip outlets, Wendy’s guardian (Sabrina E. Morrissey) says the 60-year-old is “suffering from early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently ” disabled.”

The update comes amid Morrissey’s ongoing legal battle with A&E Television Networks, Lifetime Entertainment and other partners over the release of Where’s Wendy Williams, over the TV personality’s guardianship, health diagnosis and the aftermath of The Wendy Williams Show. There is a program about life.

“This case arises from the ruthlessly calculated, deliberate actions of powerful and greedy opportunistic media companies working together with a creator to deliberately exploit them.” [Williams],” the documents read, referencing the above diagnosis.

“FTD is a progressive disease, meaning there is no cure and symptoms get worse over time.”

Nearly three months ago, Williams made her first public appearance in more than a year after stepping away from the spotlight following the end of her talk show in 2022.

At that time, she visited a holistic wellness store in her home state of New Jersey with her 24-year-old son.

Meanwhile, the celebrity’s court-ordered conservatorship began in April 2022, following Williams’ ongoing health issues with Graves’ disease, lymphedema, and alcohol abuse.

She was later placed in a care facility, with limited contact with her family, sources indicated at the time.

“I want to say that I am so grateful for all the loving and kind words I have received since sharing my diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia,” Williams said in a statement last February.

He continued:

“Let me say, wow! Your response has been tremendous.

“The messages shared with me have touched me, reminding me of the power of unity and the need for compassion.”

Upon revealing Wendy’s diagnosis to the public, her team took a deep dive into the reasoning behind doing so.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and was made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy,” representatives for the former talk show host said in a February 22 press release. But also to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal. Support the thousands of others facing dementia and similar conditions.”

The message continued:

“Unfortunately, many individuals with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia face stigma and misunderstanding, especially when they begin to show changes in behavior but have not yet received a diagnosis.

“The most important thing is that she maintains her trademark sense of humor and that she is getting the care she needs to ensure she is safe and her needs are being met. She appreciates the many kind thoughts and good wishes sent by them.
