[WATCH] Cheteshwar Pujara falls for a duck in his 100th Test match


Cheteshwar Pujara failed to score a single run in the first innings of his 100th Test match. The Indian batsman was pinned in front of his stumps by Nathan Lyon in the 20th innings on Saturday in Delhi.

Lyon bowled a long ball around the wicket. The ball hit Cheteshwar Pujara’s pads and the Australian team appealed for LBW. Field umpire Nitin Menon stated that he was not out, but the Australians requested a review.

The review scored three reds, with the ball bowled in line, the impact in line and the wickets striking. Menon annulled the decision and Cheteshwar Pujara returned to the pavilion.

Pujara played six point balls before Nathan Lyon bagged his wicket. Fans had high hopes for the Indian batsman in his 100th Test match, but he failed to play a great innings in his special game.

Nathan Lyon has cast a fantastic spell at Arun Jaitley Stadium so far in the first innings of the India vs. Australia. The veteran spinner has removed four wickets, sending Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Pujara and Shreyas Iyer back to the locker room.

Like Pujara, Rahul lost his LBW wicket to Lyon. Sharma lost his stumps, while Iyer delivered a catch to Peter Handscomb. At lunchtime, India are 88/4 after 35 overs in the first innings.

India is currently trailing by 175 runs. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, in top form, are at the center of the home team. Kohli has scored 14 of 42 deliveries, while Jadeja has added 15 runs from 36 balls. You can follow the live score of the match directly here.
