‘You are not alone’

At the end of her caption beneath the video of her shaking, Valerie Bertinelli asked if anyone could relate to her “extreme anxiety attacks.” She also reminded her followers: “You are not alone.”

He is right. Many people have these experiences.

Why… Simply put, sometimes people’s bodies go into crisis mode without any emergency context. Whether someone has CPTSD due to childhood trauma or is still experiencing a car accident, anxiety may increase in their body. In Valerie Bertinelli’s case, that means shivering and sobbing until “False Alarm” ends.
