Tori and Jack Roloff’s daughter undergoes surgery; how is Lilah?

Tori Roloff and Zach Roloff are no longer cast members of Little People, Big World.

He announced this spring that he was leaving the series at the end of the latest season.

Thankfully, though, the dear spouses aren’t staying away from the spotlight, as they’re currently co-hosting a podcast called Rising Heights .

In an episode that aired last weekend, the Roloffs gave listeners an insight into their young daughter.

“Her recovery has been great,” Jack said on air, referring to four-year-old Lilah, who recently had her tonsils and adenoids removed.

After wife Tori admitted she was “grateful” for the baby’s progress, Jack said of his baby:

“She gets very emotional, very emotional in the mornings after she wakes up and after she takes a nap. And she’s clearly taking advantage of that.”

We’re pretty sure he was joking with that last line.

Tori and Jack told fans in May that Lilah would have to undergo the procedure.

“I think we were both really nervous about how she was going to handle it, and she’s been great,” Tori said on the podcast.

“We’ve been way overmedicated because everybody thinks, ‘They think they’re okay and then all of a sudden they’re not okay. So keep taking the medication.’ But it’s not like we’re getting up in the middle of the night to do it.”

As a result of this surgery, Lilah no longer snores and is able to sleep better at night than before.

In May, the former reality TV stars said their daughter would undergo the operation to improve the quality of her sleep after a sleep study diagnosed her with a “moderate form of sleep apnea.”

“It’s going to be hard for him to come out of anesthesia,” Jack shared at the time. “He surprised us though, his sleep study, he surprised us. They didn’t do anything in his sleep study.”

Zac and Tori are also parents to 7-year-old Jackson and 2-year-old Josiah.

The youngest child also had the same sleep study done at that time, but has not needed any further medical tests or procedures, at least as of now.

Having been born with achondroplasia dwarfism like their father and grandparents, all three children may face health and/or physical problems later in life.

But Tori and Jack have often said how lucky they are that their kids are doing well so far.

“Dwarfism awareness has always been a very sensitive topic for me. I think I’ve made it my life’s goal to make sure our kids grow up not being known as “dwarfs.” Not because it’s derogatory, or because I’m scared of the word, but because I’m scared our kids will be identified by the word,” Tori wrote on Instagram last year.

The mother of three said then:

“I want to help ease the panic of this diagnosis and remind all parents that dwarfism does not define you or your child. God chose you for your child. God chose you for the world. God chose you. Happy Dwarfism Awareness Day!”
