The last time we saw Jane Affleck and her husband Jack in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, things got pretty ugly.
The ex was on a trip to Las Vegas with friends when the group stopped at Chippendales, a venue famous for male striptease.
This type of visit did not sit well with Zack, who told his wife that he had “no morals or values” behind going to this establishment.
He also sent a message to Jane which read as follows:
Start taking responsibility for your actions and the situations you put yourself in. You are an adult woman. Your intentions don’t matter. You were there, and that is the image you present about yourself, your family, the church, etc.
Wow, right?
Jen previously told Vulture that she and Jack began attending couples counseling after filming on this Hulu series finished.
And then on September 19, he shared a long post on Instagram in which he talked about his marriage in detail.
“We were kids when we got married. Being young, naïve and inexperienced, we had absolutely no idea what we were getting into,” she captioned the post.
“Coming from completely different backgrounds, families and upbringings, it didn’t make sense. We were totally opposite to each other.
“How can we do this? How can we see the same picture?”
The new reality star confessed that the two don’t always agree with each other:
“We didn’t always agree with each other, and there are times we still don’t agree with each other. But that’s what marriage is, we keep trying. I believe there were lessons we both needed to teach each other.”
After Jack called her out on air, Jen also spoke about how supportive he has been of her over the past year, writing:
“Zac bought me my first laptop when he had $10 in his bank account. When I shared my dream of running a marathon, he trained with me and ran the races with me. I told him I wanted to start my own videography business, so he saved up money and bought me my first camera.
“When we were expecting our first child, I wanted a place I could call home, so he worked hard, saved money and bought our first house.
“It gave me both the stability and freedom that allowed me to post videos online and start my career on social media. It also allowed me to support her and our family while she was in school.”
Jen, who is a very popular influencer on TikTok, added:
“Is Zac perfect? No. Does he have flaws we need to work on? Yes. But I can say with full confidence that he has always supported me and believed in me more than anyone else.
“We’re still young, we have two beautiful kids, and we’re still struggling like many marriages do. But do we love each other? Yes. Are we willing to work hard to be better? Yes. Have there been moments when we wanted to walk away? Sure.
“But there’s a lot more to our marriage and what we give each other than people realize.”
The post ended with this message:
“Thank you to all of you who have given us so much love and support, whether you know us personally or not. No matter what the world says, I truly believe that God knows what is best for me, my family and my marriage
