A top star is ready to finally return to WWE at the Royal Rumble. This is a return that fans have been waiting for for quite some time. Unfortunately, it looks like they haven’t made him an offer yet.
Matt Cardona has made a name for himself outside of WWE since his release, easily becoming the most popular independent star, working in GCW and other promotions. The star recently spoke with Ariel Helwani, where he stated that he was ready to return at the Royal Rumble.
He said that if his music was played at the event, whether it was Zack Ryder or Cardona, then the place would really explode and the ceiling would fall down. He said he had earned the opportunity and was confident moving goods as well.
“I don’t think I deserve anything… but I think I’ve earned the opportunity to come back. I don’t think it’s arrogant to say that if my music was played at the Royal Rumble, whether it’s Zack Ryder or Matt Cardona, the place would explode, the ceiling would fall in, social media would explode, the merchandising would move. “I know,” Cardona said.
Unfortunately, he added that the Stamford-based company had offered him nothing.
The star added that he would love to be in the company of his wife, the new US women’s champion, Chelsea Green. He said he knew he belonged there.
“I would love to be [in WWE] with [Chelsea]. Whether we’re on camera or not, I think we’re better together. I want to be there not just because she is there, but because I belong there. “I know I belong there,” he added. [H/T: F4WOnline]
