WWE legend and Hollywood icon The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, has been called out by AEW star Lance Archer.
Archer, currently signed to AEW, previously worked for WWE. He also has experience working in Japan under New Japan Pro Wrestling.
On Twitter, Archer notified The Great One and further challenged him to a showdown at the next Arlington Renegades game.
“Hey @TheRock if you’re going to be at the @XFLRenegades game on Saturday. See you at the 50 yard line! What do you say?” wrote Lance Archer.

Ricky Steamboat stated that Roman Reigns did not want to be in The Rock’s shadow
The Rock and Roman Reigns have shared the screen in WWE and in Hollywood under the Fast & Furious franchise.
Speaking in an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, veteran Ricky Steamboat opened up about Roman Reigns, reminiscing about what The Tribal Chief was like when he was still training. He said:
“Probably one of the nicest, most respectful, polite boys in that school at the time.”
Steamboat further mentioned that Reigns wanted to step out of The Great One’s shadow despite having the potential to be in Hollywood. The main WWE star was more focused on taking care of her family and children.
“He was the type of person who would open up and try to do anything to make him better. He didn’t want to be a shadow of The Rock, and he had the face of a Hollywood movie star. And that was a huge plus, right? There for the girls. But a very close family man, with his family, his children, very close.”
Archer might be a part of AEW, but he hasn’t been hired in a long time. Courtesy of the promotion’s working relationship with NJPW, the former IWGP US Heavyweight Champion was also allowed to return to Japan.
