Reigning ONE Muay Thai World Featherweight Champion Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is interested in a future matchup with his kickboxing counterpart Chingiz Allazov. The Thai superstar, however, said that he would like to have some kickboxing matches before doing so.
The surprising phenom said that a kickboxing matchup with ‘Chinga’ interests him, but he knows full well that jumping in unprepared could spell disaster.
In an interview following his successful world title defense in February, Tawanchai said:
“I am interested in that fight. Chingiz is a top-notch fighter, so I’ll probably try some kickboxing matches and probably meet Chingiz afterwards.”
While no stranger to kickboxing, Tawanchai has concentrated on Muay Thai at ONE. Since he made his promotional debut in May 2021, he has experienced great success that saw him become world champion in his division in his fifth fight in September.
He passed his first test as world champion in impressive fashion at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 in Bangkok. There, he defeated No. 2 contender Jamal Yusupov via TKO (leg kick) just 49 seconds into their world title clash.
Meanwhile, Allazov also delivered a devastating finish in his last fight in January, knocking out Thai superstar Superbon Singha Mawynn in the second round of their world title showdown to become the new ONE World Featherweight kickboxing champion.

In a ONE video about him, Tawanchai shared how the promotion has gone for him, saying:
