Tammy Slaton has lost hundreds of pounds in the past year and looks amazing.
This cannot be debated.
The 1,000-pound Sisters star qualified for gastric bypass surgery a few months ago and has since left the rehab facility in Ohio that she has called home since early 2022.
Since then, she’s shared several photos of herself on Instagram, each one proving just how far Tammy has come in her weight loss journey.
The latest two examples are posted above and below.
Slayton shared them on social media this week without captioning them.
While Tammy undoubtedly looks amazing in these images, many observers have noticed one major facsimile shown in each photo and have wondered if something is physically wrong with the reality star.
“What’s wrong with her neck? Is it medical or extra loose skin due to weight loss?” For example, one social media user asked.
“What’s the lump in his neck? She’s doing great with Tammy,” another asked.
Other fans responded in the comments section of Tammy’s Instagram account, providing some clarity on the situation:
“If you’d rather see what happened before she does.. her next step would be to remove the excess skin.”
We have to accept only one thing. Gastric bypass surgery can limit the amount of food in your stomach, but it also creates flaps of skin like the ones you can clearly see here.
Slayton’s TikTok page – which recently hinted at an impending divorce – has more than 4.3 million likes and 653,000 followers.
Most of them also support his progress.
“Tammy, I was seriously one of your biggest critics. It’s amazing to see your persistence in your health journey,” wrote one enthusiastic fan.
Another echoed:
“Soon you will be cleared to have skin removed and just know that we are all for you! So proud of you!”
Meanwhile, elsewhere, fans are also concerned about the status of Slayton’s marriage to Caleb Willingham, who lives in rehab in Ohio.
“Tammy is sad that her husband is not with her,” an insider told The Sun in March.
“She’s disappointed that Caleb hasn’t made an effort to move from Ohio to a facility in Kentucky.
“They’re arguing because she feels he’s not handling the immediate transfer.”
