As you may have noticed, Tammy Slaton is a whole new lady these days.
We mean that almost literally.
The 1000-pound Sisters star had gastric bypass surgery sometime in 2022 and the results have been truly incredible.
Slaton is practically unrecognizable at this point.
Like her sister Amy years ago, Tammy had to shed hundreds of pounds to qualify for the procedure — and it wasn’t easy.
“I worked my butt off,” Slaton now tells Us Weekly, speaking publicly about the time she spent and adding:
“I was starving for a long time and my hard work paid off.”
As far as the recovery of the last few months?
It wasn’t very difficult, she told the same outlet, but she did have to learn “how much” to eat safely after going under the knife.
Tammy also walked down the aisle in November.
To the pleasant surprise of fans everywhere, Slayton married a man she met in rehab (Caleb Willingham) in the parking lot of the facility they’ve each called home for about a year now.
Tammy recently said, “It’s the best thing that ever happened to me.” The news of the marriage with Willingham had come just two months earlier.
“God really blessed me.”
“We support each other with all our hearts,” Tammy continued in this interview when asked if her surgery had a negative impact on their relationship.
“On our weight loss journey, when he has the urge to eat because he’s bored or because he’s an emotional eater, he comes to me and we talk about the situation.
“It’s the same for me and I talk to him. We talk about our issues and why we feel the way we do.
“We are true partners.”
The TLC personality tipped the scales at 717 pounds on the 1000-lb Sisters season 4 premiere.
Then he hit his target weight of 534.7 pounds to be approved for surgery later in 2022.

Thus becoming a newlywed has been a common theme for her.
“Our wedding day was perfect, there was so much love in the room,” the 36-year-old said in January.
“I literally married my best friend.”
