Tammy Slaton is finally ready to move on.
In somewhat surprising fashion.
In footage released this week by People Magazine from the upcoming 1000-lb Sisters season finale, Tammy sits down for an honest conversation between herself, her brother Chris, and his wife Brittany.
Subject?
Slaton’s love life and how she has taken a break from any kind of romance after the passing of her husband, Caleb Willingham.
“It’s been almost a year since Caleb passed away. I think I’m ready to start looking for someone,” Tammy announces in the episode.
For the record, Caleb died in the summer of 2023.
But recent episodes of this TLC reality series were filmed several months ago.
Chris supports his sibling, simply asking that Slayton better treat whoever he goes out with.
Then a glimpse goes towards the confessional statement of Tammy Slaton.
“Lately I’ve been feeling like it’s time to move on and start looking for love again, but this time I’m looking for a woman,” she tells the audience.
“As things stand right now, I don’t want to be with any other man. This doesn’t seem right at all. After Caleb died, I no longer had those feelings for any boy.
Tammy first mentioned her new sexual preference in January and came out saying that she is now gay.
Meanwhile, in late July 2023, Slaton was surrounded by her loved ones when she attended the memorial service for Willingham in Ohio.
“He was my best friend and I loved him very much,” she later told People Magazine, and then added:
“When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he’s actually watching over me.”
A TikTok video Slaton shared in January was quickly followed when a follower asked if she was transgender because she used emojis for the pride flag and the transgender flag in her caption.
“No, I am not trans. I’m just supportive of everybody,” the star explained at the time. “I was saying I was pansexual, but after my husband died I stopped messing with people. So, I’m like a lesbian.
Tammy also told followers:
“I was just showing support. I am not a hater. Love is love. Everyone deserves love, whether they’re gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary, whatever. I’m just a lover.”
It was a while ago, but it wasn’t long before we heard that Slaton found a woman to love. It would have been good for him if that had happened!
The season finale of the 1000-lb. Sisters airs Tuesday, December 17 at 9/8c.
