‘Sister Wives’: Will Christine Brown ever leave the show?


Is Christine Brown ready to leave Sister Wives for good?

Better question: Can she really stay on the show? sister Wives...when that sister is no longer a wife?

19th season of sister Wives begins in September, and the family is as fractured as ever. Taking a cue from Christine, both Janelle and Meri have ended their marriages to Kody Brown.

Since Christine was the first, many were — and still are — unsure about whether she would continue on the show now that she’s no longer married to Kody.

To be fair, Christine has been very honest about the subject and even let fans know when she plans on leaving. sister Wives forever.

The beginning of the end

Christine spiritually married Kody on March 25, 1994, becoming his third “wife” after Meri and Janelle.

Fast forward to October 2022, when fans saw Christine and Kody’s marriage fall apart for good in season 17.

During that season, viewers saw the story behind their unhappy relationship and watched Christine and Kody talk in detail about their challenges and issues.

“I think we both need to break free from each other,” Christine told Kody on the September 18 installment of the TLC series, saying at the time:

“The situation was bad even before Covid.

“It’s been a bad 10, 12 years.”

The mother of six announced a few months before the episode aired that she had ended her relationship with her platonic husband, Kody, and was separating from him because she finally realized how one-sided their relationship had become.

For his part, Kody revealed in the Season 17 “Tell-All” episode that the reason he spiritually married her was because she was “polygamous royalty.”

He selfishly knew that his family name could help boost his status within the church. Kody actually described his marriage to Christine as an “ego” boost.

With her divorce being finalized in 2021, many fans thought she would be gone from the show after season 17.

Will Christine leave Sister Wives after this season?

But that didn’t happen. In fact, she not only stuck to season 18, but she also appeared in season 19.

“I promised Cody and everyone else I’d be here sister Wives “As long as we have the show, to be fair, we’re going to keep doing it,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight.

“Our family has been doing this for a long time. I feel it would be disloyal if I decided not to be a part of the show.”

And Christine has kept that promise and beyond. For her, despite not being married to Kody, she still considers herself a sister wife, as she is so close to Janelle.

“As far as Sister Wives goes, I’ll still be working with Janelle on a regular basis,” Christine revealed, which turned out to be totally true.

The two have shared many family moments together over the past two seasons. In fact, in an interview, she even sowed the seed that became very special to her.

Christine is getting a spin-off

“As far as a spin-off goes, friend, I’m totally on board, I don’t know what that would look like, but of course, it would be so much fun,” Christine told ET.

That interview was from 2022, when she was just casually dating after her split from Kody.

Two years later, not only was she married, but her marriage was turned into a spin-off from the Sister Wives franchise.

The two-episode special gave fans an inside look at Christine’s wedding plans, the Bachelorette (so to speak), and the big day, which only Janelle attended.

Kody, Robyn, and Meri were not invited.

The success of this special proved that there is life for Kody Brown’s ex-wives beyond the initial franchise.

So, if Christine ever decides to leave Sister Wives, she has a career waiting for her on the other side.
