Who is ‘Scamanda’ star Amanda Riley?
For those unaware, Amanda Riley was a wife and mother from California who achieved viral fame when she went public with her battle with Stage 3 blood cancer.
Along with fame came a lot of cash, as thousands of fans offered donations to aid Amanda and her family in their courageous fight.
But as Amanda’s audience grew, so did skepticism about her claims.
Amanda Riley’s fall
When investigative producer Nancy Mosciatello received information that Amanda was lying to her fans, she began a five-year investigation.

In 2022, Amanda pleaded guilty to defrauding her donors of more than $100,000 over eight years by pretending to be terminally ill.
