Sam Asgari would like to clear up a rumor doing the rounds about his wife.
To some extent, at least.
As you’ve probably heard by now, TMZ reported this week that Asghari, along with a few others, is planning an intervention for Britney Spears on Tuesday.
They reportedly rented a house in Los Angeles for the gathering … and were hoping to convince Spears to stay there for a few months while she deals with substance abuse and mental health issues. Was getting treated for.
“I’m afraid she’s going to die,” someone close to Spears told the website, citing “erratic behavior” as the main cause for concern when it comes to Britney.
Along with the drug it is believed to have been amplified to an unhealthy degree.
Another insider told TMZ, “It’s 2008 all over again.”
“There is grave fear that she is either going to die or will kill someone. She is abusing caffeine, adderall and anything else she can get her hands on.
How much, if any, of this reporting is accurate?
“There was not an intervention,” Asghari just told Access Hollywood.
“My wife is in complete control of her life and will continue to make all decisions related to her care regardless of the circumstances. Speculation on her health is unwarranted and must end immediately.”
Of course, it’s hard not to notice that Asgari doesn’t deny that an invention was planned… or that Britney is grappling with the above issues.
For her part, Spears issued a more specific statement in response to the speculation.
It makes me sick to my stomach that it is even legal for people to make up stories that I am almost dead… I mean at some point enough is enough!!!
I probably need to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it there are apparently a lot of people who don’t wish me well!!!

She concluded by referencing her father’s financial and personal control over a decade:
