We have new details on the arrest of Ryan Edwards.
And they paint a pretty ugly picture of the former Teen Mom 2 star.
According to an arrest report obtained by various celebrity gossip outlets last Friday, the 35-year-old man was taken into custody by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office after Edwards posted revealing photos of his wife, Mackenzie, on his Instagram page .
Mackenzie, who Ryan also accused of cheating, reportedly called the authorities on her spouse at the time.
Based on the arrest affidavit initially obtained by The Sun, Edwards was violating a protective order when he harassed Mackenzie in this manner.
When confronted by police, a glass pipe and two bags of white powder were allegedly found on Ryan.
Edwards was therefore charged with assault and possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.
The arresting officer wrote in his report, “One baggy appeared very white, more consistent with cocaine, while the other appeared slightly darker, more consistent with heroin.”
Edwards has been in and out of rehab on several occasions.
Back when he was a featured player on Teen Mom, Ryan spoke openly about his substance abuse issues.
At the time of his arrest, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that read as follows:
“During today’s conversation with Mackenzie, it was revealed that Ryan breached the order of protection by contacting her father on February 9, 2023, advising him to tell Mackenzie that he would be returning to collect his belongings that same day. Will be at residence for.”
It continued:
“Mackenzie was listed as a victim in that incident. That warrant was put out on February 8, 2023.
“When officers went to Ryan’s home in an attempt to arrest him, they found the residence heavily damaged. Edwards was searched and found drug paraphernalia and two bags of suspected narcotics.”
Edwards was arrested at his place of employment and held on $5,000 bond.
Prior to his arrest, Ryan drifts away from Mackenzie.
“Take the wife down from it. I am not proud to be married to someone who hangs out in bars and goes home with others.” [sic] Guys… Tomorrow can’t get here so soon!” he wrote in the comments section of a picture of himself and his wife.
“leader” [sic] You know what happens when you lay with dogs? … wait look who I’m talking to.
“And then blame it on my addiction. Yes divorce is the right thing.”
Prior to his arrest, Edwards also spoke to The Sun last week and made the following allegations:
“I’m definitely sorry for my kids. I thought they needed to see us together and sort it out… She got mad because her image wouldn’t be the same. She just is, how she looks.” Is.
Edwards also told the outlet that he was “ready” to get divorced and wanted to “find a good woman.”
It is not clear whether Ryan, who is due in court next month for a hearing on the charges, is currently behind bars.
