Real Madrid ready to offer 2 players the same wages as Kylian Mbappe: Reports

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to offer playmaker Jude Bellingham and winger Vinicius Jr the same salary as Kylian Mbappé. Last summer, they signed Mbappé on a free transfer, after the French superstar left Paris Saint-Germain. They also signed Endrick from Palmeiras for €47.5 million, and the 18-year-old Brazilian is widely recognized as a talent for the future.

Mbappé was widely expected to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabéu, making him their biggest signing in recent years. The 2018 World Cup winner takes home an impressive €15 million after tax each year, meaning he earns the highest salaries in Valdebebas.

However, according to a new report from Athletic (via Football España), Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham could join him in the coming years. The Brazilian winger and the English midfielder climbed to the 2024 Ballon d’Or podium, finishing second and third, respectively. They have also raised the club’s profile, leading it to win LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League last season.

After his impressive performances in recent seasons, Real Madrid wants to make him the face of the Valdebebas sports project, along with Mbappé. To do this, they are willing to raise their salary to the level of Kylian Mbappé. Vinicius and Bellingham reportedly earn €10 million a year after taxes, but a 50% pay rise will see them earn €15 million each.

Vinicius Jr’s contract is set to expire in 2027, meaning the club would have to start negotiations for an extension next year. However, Bellingham’s contract runs through 2029, and it may be some time before an extension, which will include the salary increase, if offered.

Carlo Ancelotti talks about Kylian Mbappé as Real Madrid concludes 2024

Carlo Ancelotti spoke about Kylian Mbappé and how the French megastar has overcome his struggles, as Real Madrid concluded football in 2024. He played against Sevilla in their last match of the year, winning The Nervionenses 4-2 on December 22, with a goal from Mbappé.

After the match, Ancelotti spoke about the year so far, while answering questions about Mbappe’s improving form. He told the press (via the club website):

“He has practically adapted now. He is showing good form and can still improve. He has done good performances, he is recovering from the small injury he had. He is motivated and happy to be here. “He needed to take this time to adjust, like anyone does, but he already has.”

In fact, Kylian Mbappé has scored four goals in his last five league games for Real Madrid. Despite intermittent scoring droughts, he has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 24 games so far.
