The Nike Dunk Low has largely controlled the shoe scene in recent years. Even though the brand released several pairs, colorways like the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Joker” will continue to drive the sneaker market forward.

This year’s new Nike Dunk Low “Joker” model will soon be ready for purchase in the coming weeks. The pair can be purchased in the Nike SNRKS app and at a select group of other reputable retailers, both online and offline, for $110 per pair.

Nike had a breakout year in 2022 and intends to continue to dominate in 2023. With a series of releases of its enduring and well-known styles, including the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1, and Air Max 1, the swoosh brand maintained its prominence in the last year. The Dunk silhouette will now take precedence as the shoe brand continues its leadership position in the market in 2023.

The swoosh label will continue to push the Dunk silhouette in stores in response, particularly in the first half of 2023. The swoosh label has already shared a number of additions to the 2023 roster, including “Black Suede,” “Easter” , “Industrial Blue,” and many others.

Sneaker fans get a sneak peek at an anticipated design reminiscent of Batman’s most infamous foe as the relentless assault of Nike Dunk variants continues. Combining a vivid purple and green upper with a white leather base and yellow rubber outsole, this model evokes a classic “Joker” look.

Here’s how the Swoosh tag explains the origins and evolution of their legendary Dunk Low silhouette:

“From boards to skateboards, the influence of Nike Dunk is undeniable. Although he introduced himself as a basketball shoe in 1985, his flat, grippy soles were perfect for a forgotten sports community: skaters.”

The description further mentions:

“Discover a subculture that craves creativity as much as function, Dunk released decades of countless colorways that continue to capture the soul of skaters from coast to coast.”

Since dunk has become something of a running joke in the shoe industry, an ironic connection can be made between the silhouettes. In 2016, it was an out-of-the-box shoe, but due to the “Panda” Dunks rule caused by several reruns in Nike’s launch schedule, it became an immensely popular athletic shoe.

This seems to have had some impact on Dunk’s image, but among sneaker fans who adored the design in the early 2000s, Dunk will always be held in high regard.

In the coming weeks, keep an eye out for the next Nike Dunk Low “Joker” colorway. Interested people can download the SNKRS app and join the official Swoosh website to receive regular updates on color blocking.
