Piers Morgan has been under fire for comments he made about Kate Middleton following her recent royal appearance.
This is a little unexpected. Piers Morgan is appropriately controversial – but historically he has been upset not at Kate, but at Meghan Markle.
Did his comments about Kate, which have led critics to accuse him of “bullying” Kate into revealing her cancer diagnosis, cross the line?
Or is this one of those extremely rare instances where Piers Morgan is speaking his mind?
As you can see in the video below, Piers Morgan spoke about his Piers Morgan Uncensored The show suggested, among other things, that Kate Middleton should reveal her cancer diagnosis.
In March, Kate revealed she had cancer, and this came after months of extreme secrecy, royal dishonesty, and ultimately a Photoshop fail that only made the conspiracy theories more intense.
Like father-in-law King Charles, she has also revealed that she has cancer and is undergoing treatment for it. Obviously, these are preventive treatments, taken only as a precaution.
Following Kate Middleton’s unexpected public appearance at Trooping the Colour despite cancer treatment and recovery, Piers Morgan has made two key point comments.
The first was that she “looked a lot thinner.” Some took this comment as body-shaming; others thought he was speculating about her health and prognosis.
The latter option may be more likely, as Morgan echoed his second point: He believes Kate should reveal what type of cancer she has.
Why does Piers Morgan want Kate Middleton to reveal her exact diagnosis?
Simply put, the infamous television personality says Kate could possibly help others get checked for cancer — before it’s too late.
For example, when a famous person reveals that he has prostate cancer or breast cancer, it can raise awareness. Sometimes, as silly as it may sound, hearing that a famous person is sick is a reminder that he or she is, in fact, sick. extreme fear Of our own mortality.
Potentially, the Princess of Wales could become the face of a campaign. Whether it’s related to screening for whatever type of cancer she’s battling or something else, such an effort could save lives. Doctors are even working to save Kate’s life.
Naturally, as is often the case when Piers Morgan speaks, a lot of people are very unhappy with it. And that includes people who generally like Morgan (or, perhaps more accurately, people who like his savage insanity about Meghan Markle).
Did Piers Morgan cross the line? After all, Kate is a cancer patient. Surely she is allowed some privacy, right?
Or … and we’re actually reluctant to even suggest this, but it’s worth considering: what if Piers Morgan is right about something? Sometimes he is.
So… is Piers Morgan right? Is this stopped clock right only once every few years?
Many have raised the point that Kate Middleton is a public figure but not public property. Even though she has married into a family that takes millions from the British public every year to support itself, certain medical details are of no concern to anyone.
However, Morgan did make a point: what if going public with his diagnosis could save lives? (It seems possible … though we wonder why his focus is on Kate and not King Charles, because surely the same logic applies.)
Perhaps the final point is that Piers Morgan doesn’t need to comment on Kate Middleton’s skinny image. Even when he’s ostensibly discussing her health, he should leave it unsaid. We all know Morgan loves body-shaming, but that’s his pathology, and shouldn’t be anyone else’s problem.
