ONE Friday Fights 92: “Why not make my debut?”

Anissa Meksen, multiple time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, revealed that she has been training in mixed martial arts for quite some time.

When it comes to ‘C18’, there is no better time to bite the bullet and make the jump to MMA than now.

Speaking during the ONE Friday Fights 92 virtual press conference, Meksen said he would gladly take his talents to MMA if the right offer comes along:

“You know I can fight in Muay Thai, kickboxing, for me it’s the same. But maybe I want to try MMA because I’ve been training in MMA for four years, so why not make my debut?”

Fortunately for Anissa Meksen, ONE Championship athletes can easily transition to other combat disciplines across the stacked divisions of the world’s largest multi-sport martial arts organization.

Needless to say, the French-Algerian superstar could be an immediate contender given his incredible pedigree.

Plus, there are plenty of incredible matchups awaiting the 36-year-old forward should she decide to compete at atomweight or strawweight.

The Phuket Fight Club athlete has already competed in Muay Thai and kickboxing under the ONE banner. From the looks of it, Meksen could very well become the promotion’s next three-sport athlete.

Anissa Meksen must take care of business first in the war against Kana

Before Anissa Meksen considers a move to MMA, she must fully focus on the challenge that awaits her on December 20 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

‘C18’ hopes to give Japanese star Kana Morimoto a rude welcome to ONE Championship in their three-round atomweight kickboxing clash at ONE Friday Fights 92: Sitthichai vs. Shadow.

After coming up short in her last two world title fights, the decorated warrior is eager to prove that she still belongs at the top of the food chain in the ranks of striking women.

ONE Friday Fights 92 will air live in Asian primetime in over 190 countries around the world.
