According to reports from multiple outlets, two mystery women visited Liam Payne at the hotel on October 15. They left only on 16 October.
Crucially, the report emphasizes that neither of these two unidentified women were present at the time of Liam Payne’s death earlier in the day on October 16.
Officers have already spoken to both the women. Although his identity is not public, he is known to investigators investigating Liam Payne’s death.
Reportedly, these two women may have been “key witnesses” to the events that led to his death. Additionally, investigators have also questioned three hotel staff members.
What is the timeline of this tragic death?
Liam Payne had checked himself into the hotel just three days before his demise. He and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy were living elsewhere. That’s when Kate flew home to Florida after her planned five days in South America turned into two weeks.
A hotel employee contacted emergency services to report a guest who had allegedly “excessively consumed drugs and alcohol” shortly after 5pm on Wednesday.
“When he comes to his senses he breaks down, he’s tearing up the whole room. OK, we need you to send someone, please,'” the caller told officers, according to a recording.
However, when officers reached there, they did not find any of the hotel guests in a hot temper or sleeping. Instead, they found Liam Payne dead in the hotel courtyard.
He apparently died from the fall, and investigators declared him dead at the scene more or less immediately due to the condition of his body. Sometimes, even reasonable efforts at resuscitation cannot be made.
Toxicology reports take longer in real life than on television. However, even though that part of the medical examiner’s report is pending, authorities are keeping an eye on the destruction, possible illegal narcotics and more from the One Direction alumnus’ hotel room. It is not clear whether he was fully conscious and aware of his actions at the time of his fall.
