Based on reporting from earlier this week, one might think Miranda Lambert has every reason to sing a sad tune right now.
As you may have seen on TikTok last Monday, husband Brendan McLoughlin was spotted with his arm around a mystery blonde woman at a bar in Nashville.
Later in the same footage, the same woman was seen grinding against the retired police officer — and then the two hugged.
The video read, “Miranda Lambert, come and get your man.”
OhCorrect?
Probably not, as it turns out.
Shortly after this video went viral and talk of a possible Miranda Lambert divorce spread across social media, the women seen with McLoughlin actually spoke to In Touch Weekly.
She described in detail the “innocent” nature of her relationship with Lambert’s husband.
“Earlier in the night, we saw her in the front section of the bar tied up in rope. We recognized her, and we all thought it was good for her to be there, and we expected Miranda to show up,” the person told this tabloid in response to the speculation.
“We started enjoying our night again, drinking and dancing with each other and having a good time.”
McLaughlin once agreed to photograph this woman with a friend who was there to celebrate her engagement.
“We were all dancing, laughing and talking together, thanking him for helping make our bride-to-be’s night so special and fun. He was gracious, humble and kind,” gushed McLaughlin while speaking to In Touch:
“He wasn’t flirty.
“The bar was very loud, and it was hard to hear anything, even with everyone yelling into each other’s ears. He left about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, before we left. Honestly, none of us ever felt like there was any harassment going on. There was just dancing, laughing, and talking.
“He was friendly and easy-going, but never inappropriate or offensive in any way.”
McLaughlin and Lambert were married in early 2019.
Just a few months later, divorce rumors began to spread, after which a representative for the singer said that such nonsense was “completely fabricated” and “there is not an iota of truth to it” and that the spouses are “happy and together!”
It appears that this is still the case.
