Meri Brown is here with an unexpected and unusual update on her transgender child, Leon.
Sister Wives sat down with People Magazine this week to discuss the 29-year-old woman who came out as transgender in June 2022.
“They have, by their choice, decided not to be super public,” Meri told People, using the pronouns Leon has said he would prefer and adding:
“That’s why I don’t talk about them that much.”
Leon Brown underwent gender reassignment surgery in January 2023 and married partner Audrey Criss about nine months later.
For her part, Meri said that “whatever they choose to put on social media is what people find out about them,” emphasizing that she tries to respect Leon’s request for privacy. Does it.
However, Meri tells People, “We talk often.” “They’re doing well.”
Lyonne has appeared here and there on Sister Wives over the years, but has been absent for several seasons now.
Most fans believe this is due to the tension that exists between Cody, his only remaining husband Robyn, and most of Cody’s adult children.
“There’s a lot to analyze there, and I think it’s very fair for everyone to have their own feelings and viewpoints about it, and what they are real to them,” Meri told Simply People.
“They’re real to Cody and Robyn, and they’re real to the kids, too. You know what I mean? And they are very different for everyone.
It’s no secret that Kody is not close to his sons or daughters.
It’s also no secret that we at Hollywood Gossip are not major fans of Kody Brown.
To make matters worse, a source told The Sun last year that Cody is “disgusted” by Lyonne’s transformation, but we can’t confirm that allegation. Overall, Cody has actually seemed to be quite tolerant towards the LGBTQ community.
Mary is trying to remain neutral in any disputes between her ex-husband and children.
“When you watch The Wizard of Oz, you see one perspective, and then you watch Wicked and it’s a completely different perspective,” she mysteriously added to People, referencing the smash hit play and film. Gave and said that Kody and his children have different philosophies/ideas of truth.
Meanwhile, Leon?
“Someone recently told me that I don’t need to have everything figured out in order to share myself with the world,” she wrote on social media two and a half years ago.
“So here I am, of course I don’t have any sh-t to let you know I’m trans.”
“My name is Leon or Leo (I like both) and my pronouns are they/them…
“Being queer and trans are definitely some of my favorite parts of myself,” but “there are so many things I’m learning to love about myself through this process.
“Here’s to me getting to know myself, sharing myself and growing into the person I am, being my own self in all contexts.”
