“I think it’s so important to be surrounded by people who really encourage that,” Meri Brown said then.
“It took me a while to realize that it’s okay,” he admitted. “Sometimes people are only in your life for a little while.”
Meri added: “And it’s okay to let things go if the relationship isn’t reciprocal. And that’s not promoting me or them — that applies to her, it applies to my sister wives. That applies to anyone in my life.”

In a conversation on Sister Wives in late 2022, Christine Brown shared her stance on her troubled friendship with Meri. And she also discussed why she thinks Meri felt betrayed.
“Because I ended the friendship. I ended the relationship, I really did. I ended it,” she stressed.
“It was no longer safe for me and I ended it,” Christine reiterated. “And I told him straight up, ‘No, we will not be friends because I don’t trust you and I’m not going to do this to myself anymore.'”
Christine said that for her the relationship was beyond repair.
“We tried a little bit here and there in Vegas but she wasn’t nice to me. She wasn’t nice to me,” he lamented.
Christine said: “She would put me down a lot in public. Especially when her family was around. … When I reached my limit, I was exhausted.”
