As 2024 approached, there were expectations that the coming year would be a big one for Meghan Markle.
He had a new Netflix show coming out, and after a pretty rough 2024, the feeling among fans was that things could only get better in 2025.
But this has not happened till now. Of course, this year is still very young, but it has already brought a series of PR headaches for the Duchess of Sussex.
off to a tough start
First, Meghan was forced to delay the launch of her show in response to the LA wildfires. (This is obviously a much smaller inconvenience than the devastation of fire, but it’s a setback nonetheless.)
Then, she and Prince Harry were dubbed “disaster tourists” when they stepped out to help their neighbors affected by the disaster.
The week that followed was no better, as Meghan faced two small scandals in a row:
Last week, a tart Vanity Fair Peace alleged that Meghan had plans to write a divorce memoir in the event she and Harry went their separate ways.
And now, an unnamed Spotify insider is claiming that employees at the media platform refer to Meghan by derogatory nicknames.
As you may remember, Meghan’s Spotify podcast was canceled after just one season. But it seems she managed to make a few enemies during her brief time with the company.
“Former staff members … told me they decided to name her ‘Eva’ and use it as a warning sign to let people know that “She was either coming or was on the war path.”
Shawn added, “It wasn’t a cute pet nickname.”
“The nickname comes from the 1955 Camp Classic Queen Bee Played by the ultimate diva…herself – Joan Crawford…That’s because Joan, like the character [Eva Phillips]He dismembered his victims. Employees also felt the same feeling of working together [Meghan],
Shawn claimed that Meghan had no knowledge of the surname.
“According to the source, he had no knowledge about this,” he said.
Sean further alleged that Meghan earned her diva reputation by refusing to talk to anyone except a “high-ranking” Spotify employee.
“When that person is not around, they have to be reminded that they are dealing with someone who is a duchess and, more importantly, a member of the British royal family,” Shaun was told.
“Initially it worked because people were confused by Meghan’s appearance. But this soon ended when she became demanding… clearly forgetting her days as a struggling actress.’
By now, Meghan has certainly become accustomed to members of the royal press hurling wild accusations at her. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy for him.
