The strategic partnership will allow Lufthansa Systems to leverage Megaport’s global software-defined network (SDN) to securely and reliably move the global aviation cloud from single cloud to multi-cloud, moving central cloud routing to Megaport. Megaport will also facilitate a secure landing zone for aviation customers to accelerate connection with other airlines and data exchange.
Lufthansa Systems provides IT services to more than 350 airlines worldwide. Its Global Aviation Cloud initiative aims to virtualize mission-critical airline applications and transition them to the cloud.
