Mary Brown says she is living her best life right now.

And, wouldn’t you know it? This happens just weeks after finally leaving spiritual spouse Cody!

On Thursday, the TLC personality shared a video on Instagram that showed her smiling widely while taking a canoe ride with a friend.

The audio included with the footage was from Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for the Woman of the Decade award at the 2019 Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Marie Brown addresses fans in this still image we grabbed from one of her Instagram videos.

“And for me, lately I’ve been less focused on doing what they say I can’t do and more focused on doing whatever I want,” Swift says in the clip. .

It’s a sentiment I can clearly relate to.

She captioned the upload with an empowering message about how she’s choosing to see the world and wake up to each day in the wake of their split last month.

“Building business. Building friendship. Building a great life,” wrote Meri. “Doing whatever I want.”

Marie Brown doesn’t need Cody in her life to be happy! Just look at this beautiful photo.

Mary and Cody released a joint statement on January 10 that read as follows:

“After over a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have decided to permanently end our marriage.

“Throughout this process, we commit to kindness and respect for each other and for all members of our families,” concluded Ax today.

“We are also committed to the ongoing healing of any and all relationships with family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace and love.”

Earlier in December, on the Sister Wives: One on One special, Marie responded to Cody by saying on air that he no longer considered himself married to Marie.

“Even after he was in Flagstaff, he assured me that he was trying,” she said of how he felt.

“You know, our first anniversary that we celebrated here in Flagstaff, it was a celebration of a new beginning, unlike this last anniversary of, ‘I don’t even know why you called me mine.’

‘ He’s like, ‘We’re not married. We are not acting like married people. I said to him, ‘Then if we’re at it, don’t you think we should sort this out publicly?’

“And he said, ‘No, I don’t want to address that. I don’t want that out in public because I don’t want that judgment.’

Following the break-up, people close to Mary and Cody described their relationship as abusive.

It’s been over for a long time, but now it’s officially Above.

“For now, know that I have peace in my heart, and I hold no animosity toward Cody,” Meri added last month.

“I am not, and pray I will never be, in a place where I would enjoy making, or you would enjoy making, rude and mean comments about him.”

Around the time the separation bombed, Cody’s marriage to second wife Janelle Brown also ended.

He announced his separation from third wife Christine Brown in November 2021, leaving him with only Robin these days. (The couple is, supposedly, searching for a new sister-wife.)

“It’s playing with my identity,” Robyn said on Sister Wives.

“This is not the future I wanted. I want that house to be with us in rocking chairs on the porch with our grandchildren and the kids around us. You know, Grandpa’s farm. That’s what we need.”
