Manchester United receive worst grade as Liverpool great Jamie Carragher rates every Premier League club in mid-season report

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher gave Manchester United an F grade in his mid-season report. The Premier League season is almost at its halfway point and clubs are preparing for the busy festive period. Carragher gave his former club Liverpool an A.

Carragher said he would have given Arne Slot’s side an A+ if they had not dropped points at home to Nottingham Forest and Fulham. Forest, managed by former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo, received an A+ from Carragher for their impressive performances this season.

Liverpool currently lead the league table with 39 points, while Chelsea and Arsenal follow closely in second and third position with 35 and 33 points, respectively. Defending champion Manchester City received an E+, having lost six of their 17 games.

Manchester United have been extremely poor this season and are currently 13th in the league standings. Midway through the campaign they fired former coach Erik ten Hag and brought in Rubén Amorim from Sporting CP. However, the Portuguese has also had difficulties in the Premier League.

Liverpool and Chelsea are separated by just four points in the Premier League standings

Liverpool and Chelsea are separated by just four points in the Premier League table, but the Reds have a game in hand. Both teams are expected to fight for the title. Arsenal, in third, are six points behind the Merseyside club, having played one more game.

Carragher also spoke about Marcus Rashford’s repeated exclusion from the team and opined that the latter’s future is possibly over at the club. For Manchester City, Carragher said they desperately needed a rebuild ahead of their next campaign.
