Mamie Laverock is now on the road to recovery.
This is an optimistic update given by the actress’ mother after extremely difficult events that happened to the entire family.
As we previously reported, Mamie fell from a five-story balcony at a Vancouver hospital last month.
She had earlier suffered from an unspecified “medical emergency” and was being moved from one part of the hospital to another when she fell.
The actress, best known for her work on Hallmark when the heart callsHe has been admitted to the hospital for the last several weeks.
Her family has shared a photo of Mamie, but little information has been given about her condition.
Mamie Laverock’s road to recovery
Earlier this week, Mamie’s mother, Nicole Rockman, thanked fans on Facebook. She also updated her followers on her recovery process.
“Thank you for your healing messages for Mamie,” Nicole wrote. People,
“Mammy survived her injuries, however, she will take a long time to recover. I will soon set up a mailbox for all of your cards and well wishes.”
Although the nature and extent of her injuries are still unclear, Mamie underwent successful surgery on May 30.
Mamie’s family still holds on to hope
That same day, Nicole spoke Los Angeles TimesHe said that was the first time Mamie had opened her eyes since the fall.
“We just have to hope that this changes and that she gets over it now,” he said at the time. “I couldn’t be happier that people reached out and cared. The story will be told.”
Nicole denied rumors that Mamie had attempted suicide.
He insisted the fall was unintentional and that his family intends to take legal action against the hospital.
“This is an absolute miracle and there will be accountability,” Rockman said, adding that the fall was not “intentional.”
“All we care about is that Mamie gets well and that she survives, that she fights and that she stays strong. It’s incredible that she’s with us,” he said.
In an update posted on May 28, Nicole reported that Mamie was “carried out of the hospital’s secure unit and carried to a balcony where she fell five floors.”
“She suffered life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” Nicole wrote on a GoFundMe page she set up for Mamie.
“We are all stunned and in shock at this extremely difficult time.”
