Lucy Blue-Knight, the stepdaughter of Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist Slash, died in July at the age of 25, and the cause of death has now been confirmed.
Lucy died in “a private residence,” and at such a young age, fans were naturally concerned about how she died.
Well, the autopsy was performed and now her cause of death has finally been confirmed.

Although an autopsy had been completed, Lucie-Blue’s cause of death was originally reported as “deferred.”
However, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office, it has been confirmed that Slash’s stepdaughter died from “hydrogen sulfide poisoning.”

Slash mourns the death of his stepdaughter
Slash shared the sad news of his stepdaughter’s death on social media in June.
The rock legend described Lucie-Blue as “beloved daughter of Meagan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlett Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson.”
He also called her “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, sweet, sweet soul.” His full tribute is below.
They added that he “passed away peacefully in Los Angeles on July 19, 2024.”
Lucy-Blue’s last words revealed on Instagram
Lucy’s Instagram account had been inactive since January, but a scheduled post appeared on the page on Monday.
“Whether I made you feel isolated, manipulated or controlled you, asked you to quit your job from the comfort of being financially supported by your parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity – I’m sorry,” she captioned the photo above.
“Countless opportunities and relationships were missed because of an obnoxiously large ego, an insecure heart, and a fear of being vulnerable,” Lucie-Blue said.
“May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job of becoming Lucy-blue. Peace.”
This post has led many commenters to conclude that Lucy committed suicide.
But it’s important to note that this is just speculation as of now.
One of Lucy’s friends commented on the post: “You don’t need to apologise, I’ll see you again, I love you. I’m with you.”

Slash pays tribute to Lucy-Blue
Slash also paid a loving tribute to his late stepdaughter.
“Lucy-Blue was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, loving, sweet soul,” she wrote on Instagram.
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that speculation on social media be kept to a minimum as they mourn this devastating loss.”
