Now, the mother of three is opening up about these experiences in a new interview, which you can watch below.

Although Lorraine is pregnant on screen for season 2, she has welcomed baby #3 – a daughter named Ariel.

Lorraine and Alexi Brovarnik are also parents to 2-year-old Shai and 1-year-old Asher. Both Asher and Ariel were born prematurely and required special care.

“Oh, I have such an ugly cry. But you know what? Everyone ugly cries,” Lorraine admitted.

“I think I use social media as an outlet for me,” she suggested. “For helping me and showing other people that they are not alone.”

“And in turn, it’s helping me to feel that I’m not alone,” Lorraine continued. “Like, with postpartum, it’s tough.”

She continued: “But with Ari, I had never experienced anything like it.”

Lorraine elaborated: “I mean, people were like, it’s because she’s a girl. It’s extra hormones and this and that, but I wasn’t myself.

Lorraine admitted that she experienced many negative emotions. Specifically, she felt “angry” and “sad”.

“It was very hard because she was in the NICU,” she recalled. “I had to get up every day because of my boys.”

Lorraine confessed: “And there were times where [I would tell] Alex, like, ‘Just leave me alone.'”

Lorraine described, “I went into the bath and I would cry in the bath.”

Fortunately, she added: “I definitely think I’m out of that dark, dark phase but I still have my moments, trust me.”

And of course, there are times when the joy is so intense that it becomes overwhelming.

“The other day, I saw all my kids and I started crying,” Lorraine elaborated.

“My heart was so full and hurting at the same time,” she explained. “It’s just weird.”

Lorraine added: “I don’t know, maybe it’s the baby blues, maybe it’s all the hormones.”

Alexi offered a psychoanalytic rather than hormonal explanation for why giving birth to Ariel was such a challenge.

“I think this time it was tough for her because she knew at this point she was the last one,” he claimed.

“It’s her. That’s the idea. That’s why she was upset… In her mind, at this point in life, it’s the last one,” Alexei posted.

“So it made her more upset. And I’m glad she’s going to social media, ”continued Alexey.

“It’s not all on me, you know, other people see it,” he said. “Go talk to him for a second and it’s helpful to him.”

Alexey suggested: “I think we’ve both learned that opening up helps not only the people who are listening, but the person as well.”

“We’ve learned that when [Loren opened up] about Tourette’s syndrome and how it helped her. So… it’s good for everyone,” suggested Alexi.

Lorraine is focused on her health. However, she admitted that she feels insecure about her post-baby body. She won’t say “no” to a makeover, but she’s trying to “do it the right way” when it comes to bouncing back.

Meanwhile, Lorraine says that having baby Ariel so far has been no different than Shay and Asher’s. She said in the interview, “I just don’t care.” (That’s because gender is a social construct, people.)
