Hours before his death by falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina, Liam Payne had requested too much alcohol… too much cocaine… and sleeping with two prostitutes.
So explain the explosive and disappointing court documents obtained by TMZ this week.
As previously reported, three arrests have been made in connection with Payne’s death, which occurred on October 16 in Buenos Aires.
One of those arrests was that of Roger Norreys, a friend of the singer, who accompanied Liam to Argentina and who apparently promised the artist’s father that he would take care of Payne.
But prosecutors have accused Norrey of “abandonment”, with legal papers revealing the extent to which Payne had fallen off the wagon the night before and the morning of his death. Of his death.
Here we mean…
But 10 pm On October 15, Payne ordered four bottles of whiskey.
A 6:36 am The next day, he ordered five more bottles of whiskey.
Lawyers say a few minutes later, he texted Roger, “Dude, I think I’m going to fuck a whore.”
Then 9:32 am When Payne asked his friend via text: “Can you get 6 grams?” So Payne appeared to be referencing hard drugs.
(It’s worth noting here that the autopsy a few weeks earlier said Payne had drugs, including pink cocaine, in his system after his fall from the balcony.)
These documents allege that Payne drank whiskey with Roger at breakfast shortly before he died. A maid is also on record as saying that at some point that same day, Payne was restlessly searching for “powder” in her hotel room.
But 11:30 AMA pair of prostitutes arrived and later told officers that they had had sex with Payne. He proceeded to punch a television set when he demanded payment.
nearby 2:00 pmProsecutors say Starr asked a hotel employee for “another 7 grams for today.”
But 4 pmAn employee said Payne was “obviously intoxicated” and shortly thereafter a housekeeper heard him breaking something in the hospital room.
Based on surveillance footage previously released to the public, three hotel employees eventually escorted Payne through the lobby to his room just before his fatal fall.
It is believed that he then picked up a bag and was so desperate to escape from his room that he reached the balcony and jumped to his death, never intending to take his own life.
Investigators believe Payne was not fully conscious when he fell fatally.
“The victim did not adopt a reflex posture to prevent himself from falling,” a press release said.
“For the prosecution, this situation would also rule out the possibility of a conscious or voluntary act on the part of the victim because in the situation he was in, he did not know what he was doing nor could he understand it.”
