Kylie Jenner finally broke down on Thursday night.
Speaking alongside her sister Kendall, the 26-year-old opened up about the criticism she often receives online over her appearance … most notably the hate she faced for her look at the recent Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show.
In response, some strangers accused Jenner of looking “old” at the event.
“It’s like a miracle that I still have confidence and I can still look in the mirror and think I’m beautiful,” Kylie told Kendall, revealing that she didn’t wear as much makeup as she usually does on the aforementioned show.
“I’ll go and not have a lot of makeup on and someone will see me in a weird light,” she said of some of the photos, which we’ve posted below.
“You can see pictures of me from when I was 13, I have these lines, but I’ve had them since I was a kid.”
It’s unfortunate that Kylie has been judged in this way, from questions about whether or not she’s pregnant to criticism of even the most modest outfit she chooses to wear.
“I hear bad things about myself all the time,” she said in her confession in this latest reality show episode.
“I don’t think it’s any particular headline that makes me feel weak or affects me more. I think it’s just after 10+ years, it just gets tiring.”
Should Kylie, Kendall, Kim Kardashian and/or any member of this famous family just shut up because they asked for the spotlight?
No, argues Kendall.
“I feel like that’s a common thing with my family. We’re treated like we’re dehumanized. They don’t think there are any rules and regulations,” Kendall said, adding that trolls seem to get away with criticizing her loved ones more than most celebrities.
“For some reason they don’t think we have any feelings,” he said.
Of course, Kylie has faced comments about her lip filters over the years.
“Why do people think it’s okay to talk about me?” she asked on air, crying.
“I’ve never cried about this before, but I think it affects me,” Kylie later told her brother, noting that many critics think she’s fair game “because she did it to herself, she ruined her face, she’s had a lot of surgery.”
Kylie added, “Even though I’ve had so much surgery… I still don’t think it’s okay to talk about someone’s looks.”
“People have been talking about my looks since I was 12, 13, until I got lip fillers. It’s really hurtful. I look ‘old’. I see it under every post.”
After Kendall offered some reassuring words, Kylie told the camera that “there’s only so much a person can endure,” and vowed to “rise above” because she “has so much to do.”
