It looks like more legal trouble is on the way for the Chrisley family.

Due to his father serving time in prison for various types of financial fraud, Kyle Chrisley was arrested on September 9 and charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

We can now confirm new details about the event as well.

According to a police report from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, the 33-year-old man (who lives with Todd Chrisley’s ex-wife Teresa) and his wife were having a dispute with a mechanic over money.

Kyle claims that when the man argued with him about the issue and their house, the mechanic hit his wife’s parked car … drove it down the street … and then came back and started taunting Chrisley.

The mechanic alleges that he had only knocked on Kyle’s door, and that Kyle eventually stabbed him in the hand with a knife.

A court hearing is scheduled for December to determine what happened and what happens next, but Kyle posted a photo on social media of police handcuffing him and pinning him to the ground.

“So let me get this clear. A man has been threatening me for months, trying to get money out of me, saying if I don’t pay him he will ruin me, he has threatened my kid, my wife, told me he will ruin my truck, he comes to my house and puts his hands on me, tries to get money out of me, threatens me,” he wrote via Instagram.

“I’m not allowed to defend myself and my property? Then he intentionally rammed my wife’s car and yelled ‘I’ll be back, I’ll get you.'”

Chrisley also continued to defend himself.

“Maybe it’s because of my last name. I’ve heard that Rutherford County likes to make a name for itself and I think they saw this as an opportunity to do that,” Kyle also told Us Weekly.

“I also think it was very easy for this man to fabricate this story knowing that a similar incident has happened to me before, and especially when he knows he came to my home, damaged property, and publicly stated his intention to run me over with his car.”

In March 2023, Kyle was also booked for “felony assault” and was released after posting a $3,000 bond.

However, the prosecution dismissed the charges before the trial.

Due to drug addiction and other sensitive personal issues, Chrisley previously lost custody of his daughter Chloe, who was taken by Todd and Julie in 2016.

“I’ve never been very good at talking about my struggles but lately I’ve noticed a lot of people are sad… so I’m sharing my story in the hopes I can help just one person see there is another side to pain,” Kyle wrote via Instagram in December 2022.

“3 [years] A few years ago I tried to take my life. … For years, I struggled with self-esteem. I didn’t feel like I belonged, I never felt good enough.”
