Kody Brown just spilled some hot, sexy tea.
About yourself.
On the latest episode of Sister Wives, the father of 17 got candid and more personal than usual, in addition to asking Robin Brown to be his only wife.
“You want to know the craziest thing?” the 55-year-old asked viewers during the January 5 installment of the TLC program. “I had a boyfriend in college, and it was a short fling.”
What made it such a big and disturbing deal?
Describing himself as “a naughty boy based on my faith,” Cody added, “I had a relationship in college where I lost my virginity.”
“It was devastating for me. It was heartbreaking.”
Of course, Kody was raised as a conservative Mormon, which ultimately led him to live a polyamorous existence — until, that is, Christine, Janelle, and Meri all walked away from the reality star.
However, in this latest confessional, Brown reveals that “purity” was “everything” in his childhood church, meaning that extramarital sex really messed with his psyche.
“It seems like you are clawing your way back to this,” he told the camera, emphasizing once again: “This is devastating.”
Kody also said on the episode that “no one knows” about his college hookup except for first wife Meri Brown and fourth wife Robyn Brown.
“It was really because I don’t believe I’ve ever been close enough with Christine and Janelle to tell them,” Kody continued, telling Robyn about his past “before we knew each other.” Detected within “month”.
Brown said she never “felt safe” to open up to Christine or Janelle.
Kody’s entrance Sunday night came amid a dramatic conversation between him and his remaining wife, during which Robyn lamented the loss of the family’s plural lifestyle.
“It’s just, I always thought we’d be like those other plural families,” Robin said on air. “Eventually he came to terms with it and overcame all the issues and things and found his friendships and found his peace.”
Cody, for his part, considers the idea an unattainable fantasy.
“I wish I believed him,” he told Robin. “I don’t think I’ve seen it anywhere. They are all doing their work until they die. This is not fun.”
Cody concluded by way of confession that he did not even expect to hold this position.
The TLC personality reflected, “It’s a weird place where I’m monogamous now.” “Not because of any kind of choice, so to speak, but because of a complete failure in marriage relations. I’ve had three women who have decided I’m not worth it.
“I don’t want Robin to see me as useless. Am I really not worthy of this?”
