There will be an introduction this upcoming Sunday night on Sister Wives.
In a sneak peek published by Us Weekly, series patriarch Kody Brown meets her ex-husband’s boyfriend for the first time… and it goes exactly as you’d expect.
During a family Valentine’s Day-themed gathering, Christine Brown sparks a major moment after coming into Kody and Robyn Brown’s house and, really, has no other option.
“how’s it going?” David Woolley says in the clip, to which Cody replies, “David, nice to meet you. [I‘m] “Cody.”
Of course, Christine was Kody’s spiritual sister wife for over 20 years. She ended the relationship in November 2021.
However, the current season of Sister Wives was filmed much earlier… so despite Woolly and Christine getting married in October 2023, the first time Woolly meets Cody is in this future installment.
After Christine introduces David to Robyn on the November 10 episode, Cody gets right into it.
“How long have you guys been dating?” he asks.
“For a month and a half,” Christine answers, adding that she has known David for a while.
“Have you seen the children? You know the kids?” Kody then asks, referring to his and Christine’s six children and their grandchildren.
“Everyone she’s met seems to get under her ex-husband’s skin because she didn’t realize the relationship was so serious,” Christine revealed.
It gets even more awkward when Kody and Christine’s daughter Mykelti interrupts and tells her dad that Woolie “single-handedly took care of the kids while we went and got pedicures.”

Woolie finally gives Cody and Robin some information about his backstory.
“I’m used to a lot of kids. I will have 10 grandchildren. I have eight children,” he says. “I have been in favor of polygamy all my life. I’m used to having lots of kids. “Big groups don’t bother me at all.”
After their brief back-and-forth, Woolie sits down for a confessional and recalls the tension he felt with Cody.
“The first thing he said was, ‘I heard you’re holding my grandchildren.’ And Mykelti says, ‘Well, he did more than that, he babysat them,'” David claimed, telling Christine about his conversation with Kody:
“His face turned really red.”
Cody did not express any embarrassment, but did mention the following on air:
“The interesting thing was that David made more eye contact with Robin and talked to Robin more than me.”
Christine and David recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary, with the father of eight calling their relationship an “amazing journey.”
“I was in Sedona a couple of weeks ago, it’s really beautiful there, just like [Christine] Is. I’m so glad he found me and followed me,” David captioned his post on October 15, which included a selfie of the husband-and-wife couple.
“She is the most thoughtful, loving, caring person. I’m enjoying this ride and just want to keep riding.”
