We believe it’s better late than never for Kody Brown.
On this week’s all-new episode of Sister Wives, the family matriarch is once again forced to face the fact that her polygamous life is over.
As fans are well aware at this point, Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown have all dumped Kody at various points over the past three years.
The trio also mentioned here and there that a big reason their relationship with Kody ended was because of how obvious it was that he loved Robyn Brown the most.
“When Christine left, she said to her kids — our kids — and even some of Janelle’s kids, ‘Daddy has a soulmate. She’s Robyn.’ “I want to be free,” Cody said on air Sunday night.
“When she first told everyone, I was so angry.”
However, Cody has been able to reflect quite a bit of late.
As the father of 17 himself admitted, his family is finished. At least as he has known for decades.
“As time passed, [my exes] Went away. I’ve come out of my relationship with these other wives,” Kody explained via confessional, adding the whole Robyn soulmate thing:
“I’m more willing to accept it.”
Doesn’t sound very emotional, does it?
Mostly it seems as if someone just Is To accept that there is only one woman who is sticking with him and still wants to be his wife.
Christine was the first of Cody’s sister wives to split from the TLC personality in November 2021.
“After more than 25 years together, Cody and I have separated and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote on Instagram.
“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we raise our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we go through this phase within our family.
Brown has since married David Woolley and seems to be very concerned about the matter.
Meanwhile, during the November 2023 episode of Sister Wives: One of One, Kody admitted that his feelings for Robyn overshadowed these other relationships.
“When I met Robin, you know, it was like being in love for the first time. So I think that changed the dynamic. And it’s nobody’s fault,” Cody said candidly at the time.
However, there is talk that Robyn may also divorce Kody, which is what a source told In Touch Weekly last month.
“Robyn has Kody wrapped around her finger and has always done so because she was – and is – his favorite wife.
“The truth of the matter is that Kody is terrified that Robyn will leave him like his other wives did. …Cody goes out of his way to make Robyn feel like a princess. Her dream of polygamy is shattered and she is desperate to keep this marriage intact, even if it means paying the price.”
