Kody Brown Criticized Me: He’s Boring and Mean and I Never Loved Him!

If this wasn’t made clear over the past 18 seasons, Kody Brown emphasized it once again this past Sunday night:

He’s really, really useless.

On the latest episode of Sister Wives , Kody reflected on his three failed marriages and saved his harshest comments for ex-wife Meri.

For example, after discovering that Mery had gone to church to ask for a formal “release” from their spiritual union, Brown admitted that their romance lacked “a lot of intelligence,” and added in a mean-spirited aside:

“When we got married I had no idea who she was. She was very different.

“I think Meri had some baggage that I wasn’t aware of initially. I thought I could live with it … I couldn’t live in a world where she was constantly angry at me.”

Kody and Meri exchanged wedding vows in 1994, but they divorced in 2010 so that Kody could marry Robyn Brown and legally adopt her children from her previous marriage.

However, the pair stayed together, although they stopped sleeping together and eventually split in January 2023.

Kody then said that he didn’t agree with Meri’s decision to go to church, explaining that “the damage was done” and that he “didn’t want to be accountable to this church and all of their bullshit.”

The self-centered father of 17 children further explained that “when a person is already married, he has no choice,” when he is part of a polygamous family.

“In polygamy, if he wants to stay faithful and in the faith, he can’t ask for a divorce,” Kody said. “It’s not allowed. So I couldn’t get out of that relationship.”

He Was However, he is capable of acting like a complete idiot and forcing Mary to come to this decision.

“At the same time, I didn’t want to get out of this relationship. I wanted to know if we could save it and fix it,” Kody said on air.

“There was a whole nuance of, OK, we’re going to figure out our relationship like there were times I had with him where I was like, OK, here’s a fresh start. We’re going to figure this out.”

Except that Kody never gave things a chance.

He said that whenever they were together, Meri was “not nice, not fun, not kind” and “not interesting”.

“I’m trying to stay curious with her and I’m bored. And so, I think, to be fair, Meri feels abandoned,” Kody told viewers.

On the Season 19 premiere, Meri made it clear where she stood at the end of the relationship, saying Kody had tried to talk her out of the marriage.

“I’m really sad for him,” Mery said of her ex-husband.

Kody is now only married to Robyn.

Eventually his other three wives realized how one-sided the relationship they were in was and they got out of the relationship, leaving Kody to play the role of victim.

and also admitted that he had no special feelings for any of them.

“I didn’t kick myself out of the house. Christine, Janelle and Meri all made the decision to kick me out of the house,” Kody continued in this new installment.

“Now, I’m not playing the victim card, I’m just saying that’s just the way it was.

“I was never going to leave them, no matter how much I loved them.”
