Kim Kardashian is not in much discussion these days.
And maybe now we know why:
She’s been pretty busy – basically being a single mom to four young kids.
“I think you and I mostly connected on parenting,” the 44-year-old began during the Tuesday, November 12 episode of friend Zoe Winkler’s What’s the Winkler. podcast.
“And the decisions, and sometimes it feels like you’re alone in this, even though we have great support systems and people around us.”
Kardashian and Kanye West share daughter North, 11; son Sant, 8; daughter Chicago, 6; And son Bhajan, 5.
The exes filed for divorce in February 2021 after almost seven years of marriage; Proceedings were finalized in November 2022.
It’s no big secret that West is rarely involved in his children’s lives.
In this new interview, Kardashian said she often struggles or feels overwhelmed as a mother, but she does so quietly because of worry about how critics will judge her.
“But sometimes in the middle of the night,” Kim added.
“When they’re all sleeping in your bed and kicking you and crying and waking you up – it’s not something I talk about too much because I think there’s always too much judgment. Or people always jump to, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to hire a nanny and get help.’
“And I just think that no matter what kind of help I get, I’m basically raising four kids alone.”
West married Bianca Sensori just over a year ago, while Kardashian hasn’t really been involved in any serious relationships since her split from the rapper.
And while it may seem like Kim lives in a completely different universe… well, that’s because she does. We are talking about a billionaire here.
But Kardashian can relate to pretty much every other parent of school-age kids, too.
“I mean, even carpool this morning, I had five kids I had to pick up,” she explained to Winkler, who is the daughter of actor Henry Winkler.
“And everyone wants to go at different times or want different things. And I feel like I’m on the last legs of a race car driver.”
We’ve been there, Kim. Almost every day of our recent lives, we have been there.
