we’re only two episodes into the new season of vanderpump rulesBut there’s already been a lot of drama involving former SUR employees.
Not surprisingly, a lot of screen time has been devoted to the recent divorce of Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney.
In the season premiere, the Exiles prided themselves on how mature they were about the split.
They even agreed on a dog custody arrangement that seemed to satisfy all parties!
But the situation quickly deteriorated, and last week’s episode saw Katie and Tom experience a bit of post-wedding friction.
In the Real World (current season pump rule filmed last summer), the tension between Tom and Katie has taken a turn for the worse.
And it seems the main source of animosity is Schwartz’s relationship with Raquel Lewis.
As we’ve learned from recent confessions segments, Katie was the first to re-enter the dating pool, but Tom violated their agreement by hooking up with someone in his social circle.
These days, it looks like Schwartz and Raquel are still going strong, as evidenced by a photo Lewis posted to Instagram earlier this week.
In the caption, Raquel explained that she posted the picture “just cause,” but Katie took it as a personal insult.
“You really thought you did something here, but these comments ate up lolol,” Maloney commented on the photo, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
Elsewhere in the comments, Katie called Raquel “desperate,” adding that she only commented on the photo because so many people sent it to her that she felt she “couldn’t leave it alone.”
The situation became so tense that even the former vanderpump Cast member Stassi Schroeder enters the fray.
Stacy wrote, “I know no one asked for my opinion, but it’s moments like these that I really miss giving it.”
Katie says she is mad because Schwartz broke their rule of banging mutual friends.
But in a new interview with Page Six, Scheana says that soon after Tom and Raquel first met, Katie remarked that they would “make a good couple.”
“So I took her and ran with her and said to Raquel, ‘Katie gives you her blessing if you want to follow her,'” Shayna said.
Katie insisted that she never gave Any Her blessing, and when she made those comments to Scheana, she was only “lightening the rumors.”
In a comment on a separate post, Maloney explained that she “would never have dreamed of getting the attention” the way Scheana has, adding that her comments about Tom and Raquel were just “cheeky girl chat”.
,[I] I felt like I had real friends during these conversations,” wrote Katie.
,[Scheana] I said [Tom] I’ll wing the lady for that. And I said yes when he is ready he could probably use some encouragement from some friends.
“Did I have 17 drinks? No, that was an exaggeration… I remember our entire 10-minute conversation,” Katie said.
“What I meant was that it was not an environment to take what I was saying seriously,” she continued.
“It was cheeky girl chat. And I certainly didn’t think she’d throw it in [T]Om’s face too.
Later in an Instagram Live, Katie posted screenshots of her conversation with Scheana.
“Back in May.. when we talked in Vegas.. I told Shayna I’m not ready for this shit.. so go ahead with this diabolical shit..,” he wrote on the screenshot.
“I was very clear that I didn’t mean or co-sign nonsense.. so why go through with it?”
We already know that Scheana uninvited Katie to her wedding to Brock Davis over the summer.
Now, it looks like the old friends are in even more trouble.
Hopefully, they can keep this anger on display long enough vanderpump rules Season 11!
