Liam Payne’s girlfriend has spoken out, two days after the former One Direction group member’s sudden and shocking death.
“Thank you for all the kind words and love you’ve shown me,” the longtime actress wrote in an Instagram Stories message on October 18.
“I am completely devastated. Nothing felt real these past few days. I ask and pray that you would give me the grace and space to navigate this personally.”
Cassidy and Payne began dating in 2022.
Following Payne’s fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina this week, Cassidy called the pop star his “angel” and then addressed him as follows:
“You are everything. I want you to know that I love you unconditionally and completely. I will love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam.”
Payne had been in Argentina for a few weeks after attending former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert at the Movistar Arena.
Cassidy was with Payne on the show on October 2, but was not around on the day of his death, having flown back home to Florida on October 12.
The 31-year-old singer died of “multiple trauma” and “internal and external bleeding” after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, according to an autopsy report from Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office. Went. ,
