Kate Midlon has taken another trip around the Sun.
On January 9, the Princess of Wales turned 43… releasing a new self-portrait to celebrate the occasion and receiving a sweet message from her husband in honor of the milestone.
First, the picture:
And now the message from Prince William:
“To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you have shown in the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Lewis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Katherine.”
Of course, William is referring to the couple’s three children here.
He’s also citing Middleton’s journey over the past year or so, which unfortunately has been notable for the star’s battle with some form of cancer.
“We love you. W,” William concluded the statement.
Over the past several months, Middleton has undergone cancer treatment and spent much time away from the public eye.
In September, she announced that she had completed chemotherapy – yet cautioned that the road to recovery was still long and unpredictable.
Middleton said at the time that she was “doing everything I can to stay cancer free” and “starting a new phase of recovery with a new sense of hope and appreciation of life.”
In October, the princess visited the bereaved families of three children killed in a knife attack in Southport, northwest England, in public for the first time since her treatment.
Then, in December, Kate accompanied her spouse on an official visit to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.
This all sounds very promising, but sources have recently clarified:
Middleton won’t be resuming her full schedule anytime soon.
According to People Magazine, Kate is celebrating her birthday with her husband and children at their Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor.
The royal beauty was recently spotted on Christmas Day… as she and her famous family – led by King Charles – walked to and from church in Sandringham, Norfolk.
Sources confirm that Middleton chatted with well-wishers, and that many of his meaningful conversations with those gathered nearby were about the disease.
In March 2024, Kate announced that she was undergoing cancer treatment and in September said that she had completed the treatment.
In a rare revelation at the Together At Christmas carol service in December, Kate said:
“I had no idea this year would be like the one I’ve just had.”
No one ever does. But we are very happy to see the princess smiling once again.
