Kate Middleton is back royally!
On Tuesday, amid her cancer recovery, the Princess of Wales joined her husband Prince William as she helped welcome special visitors to the United Kingdom.
As previously reported, accompanied by her husband for an official visit to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani; and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawahar bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.
Kate and William were the first to welcome the couple, meeting them at their residence this morning and then traveling with them to Horse Guards Parade in St James’s Park.
As you can see in the photos above and below, Middleton wore a coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and a hat by Sahar Millinery… both in a burgundy color that matches the color of Qatar’s flag.
She also wore some of the late Queen Elizabeth’s jewellery, notably her Bahraini pearl drop earrings and her Japanese pearl choker necklace, which belonged to the Princess of Wales Too Worn at Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021.
The royals are nothing if not consistent and fashionable.
Middleton’s appearance at Tuesday’s events marked another milestone in her gradual return to public duties, as it was her first state visit since announcing in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
We still haven’t been told what type of cancer the princess is battling.
But the 42-year-old princess shared in a video message in September that she had completed chemotherapy and was now focused on remaining “cancer free.”
As you might expect, the mother of three described the completion of treatment as a “relief” in the same footage.
Earlier this year, the world was left wondering what was going on with Middleton as she disappeared from the spotlight — only the royal beauty revealed in a March social media post.
“I’m in the early stages of that treatment now,” Kate said, referring to her cancer diagnosis on March 22.
“It took me time to recover from the major surgery and start my treatment. But the most important thing is that we took the time to explain everything [the kids] In a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be OK.”
Fast forward to June and this positive update from the princess:
“I am making good progress, but as anyone who has gone through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. “On those bad days, you feel weak, tired and you have to give your body rest.”
Middleton then said that she was looking forward to attending the King’s birthday parade and expected to “attend some public events over the summer”, warning:
“I’m not out of the woods yet.”
However, in recent weeks, Kate has traveled with William to Southport, England, for an engagement … and joined members of the royal family at public events on Remembrance Sunday.
It looks like she’s doing well, and we couldn’t be happier.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Middleton is scheduled to host one of her biggest passion projects: her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.
