Kate Middleton will be back in royal action soon.
On November 25, Buckingham Palace announced that the 42-year-old would accompany her husband Prince William to an upcoming meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar; and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawahar bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.
The couple have booked an official state visit to the United Kingdom on 3 December.
The occasion will mark Middleton’s most important appearance of the year, after she was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy treatments over the past several months.
To be clear, the Princess of Wales will not be attending the glamorous state dinner held for visiting dignitaries at Buckingham Palace.
He is not ready for this kind of look.
However, after announcing on September 9 that she had completed chemotherapy, Middleton is slowly and cautiously returning to royal duties.
The mother of three attended the commemoration at the Royal Albert Hall on 9 November and watched the Remembrance Day service from a balcony above the Cenotaph the following day.
As most of the free world knows by now, Middleton had major abdominal surgery in January, after which there were many questions about the state of her health for a long time.
About two months later, Kate revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer, although we were never told the type of cancer.
“I’m in the beginning stages of that treatment now,” Kate said in a March 22 social media video.
“It took me time to recover from the major surgery and start my treatment. But the most important thing is that we took the time to explain everything [the kids] In a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be OK.”
Fast forward to June and this update from Princess:
“I am making good progress, but as anyone who has gone through chemotherapy will know there are good days and bad days. “On those bad days, you feel weak, tired and you have to give your body rest.”
Middleton then said she was looking forward to attending the King’s birthday parade and hoped “to attend some public events over the summer”, while cautioning: “I’m not out of the woods yet. “
Prince William has emphasized this point.
However, we’ll let Kate have the last word here, as she said in September:
The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family. Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to recovery and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. However, I am looking forward to getting back to work and doing some more public events whenever possible in the coming months.
