The royal firm initially claimed it was a simple surgery, but Kate Middleton’s Photoshop fail scandal fueled the fire of conspiracy theories. Eventually, she revealed her cancer diagnosis.
Even after that, the British tabloids continued to ask her for details. Kate reportedly blamed her husband for not putting a stop to it. potential First of all, this happened for a few reasons.
Even before Kate Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis to the world in early spring, people were defending her for her extended absence and Photoshop fail.

Although his argument had some key elements, it missed the mark. Especially because he could have made the same argument about King Charles’ battle with cancer, but he focused on Kate.
There was public scrutiny over Kate Middleton before her announcement or even her ‘disappearance’
According to what an insider told In Touch WeeklyThe stress has taken its toll on the marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“William has really taken steps forward since Kate’s cancer diagnosis,” the insider confirmed. “But that doesn’t mean all of their issues have been magically resolved.
There was more to all of this than just the cancer diagnosis and the rumors surrounding it. In early 2024, rumors of Prince William’s alleged affair with Rose Hanbury resurfaced. Although The Firm has made obvious efforts to suppress this story, the monarchy cannot completely suppress it.
The source then went on to say that this year has been particularly tough for Kate Middleton.
“At first, it was said that she had ‘disappeared’ — and it was assumed that her marriage was in danger, as rumors of her cheating would not stop,” the insider explained.
“When Kate received this devastating diagnosis, this was definitely the last thing she needed,” the source admitted.
Could Prince William have done more to help?
“And,” the insider pointed out, “no one can blame her for being irritated with William because he didn’t protect her from scrutiny.” Famously, the royal firm has been influenced by what the tabloids write in the past. Often, it seems to be to Meghan Markle’s detriment.
The source added: “Or finding a way to put an end to the outrageous rumour that he was unfaithful.”
One might conclude in the midst of the argument that Kate believed the rumors. But whether the press correctly portrayed William as a cheater or not, the two are reportedly “very happy” now.
