The man who sang the song “Gold Digger” is now so desperate for money that he’s contacting his ex-wife.
According to a new tabloid report, it is.
“Kanye is spending his savings at an alarming rate and it’s starting to take a toll on his bank balance,” an insider told In Touch Weekly a few days ago.
“He still has some money coming in, but since he lost that deal with Adidas, his net worth has dropped by several zeros.”
In October 2022, West lost a major endorsement deal with this retailer in the wake of the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments and various other offensive remarks.
The decision came nearly two weeks after West tweeted the following:

We heard around this time that West was no longer a billionaire, and to mourn the event, he played the world’s smallest violin.
But things are apparently much worse for the polarizing artist.
“At first they didn’t let it affect their spending habits; they just spent more to prove they could do it, but now it’s gotten to the point where they have no choice but to make some cutbacks, like flying coach instead of a private jet,” In Touch’s source told In Touch.
In fact, West and his wife Bianca Sensari were filmed by a TikTok user while returning from a commercial flight on June 8.
West is also facing a sexual assault lawsuit these days, which means he may have to pay legal fees in the near future.
“Controlling his spending is not something he’s used to doing, and it’s taken a huge blow to his ego,” the source explains.
“Meanwhile Kim couldn’t have done better. She’s been very smart with her money and her business is booming, so she’s been able to spoil the kids in a way Kanye can’t.”
While Kim, of course, still earns a salary for her reality television career, she has also tried her hand at acting, makes a lot of money from Instagram and owns a hugely successful brand in SKIMS.

In Touch writes, “She can charter a private jet or stretch limo service immediately,” while West “is still responsible for custody payments, which he is also finding difficult to afford.”
